We are proud and excited to celebrate our work anniversary today! But before we launch into the festivities (oh and there will be festivities!), I wanted to make time to indulge in a little reflection.
As I normally struggle to remember what I had for dinner, the morning after, attempting to recall all our wins, losses, near misses, great decisions and the many howlers that outweigh them, will be difficult, and for those who have reached the second paragraph, will be delighted to read, I’m sure. It’s going to be short, snappy and a note for prosperity and NOT for blowing smoke up one’s own rear!
Pinterest uses ‘machine learning’ to personalise the photographs and products that appear on users’ feeds, which means that the user will find their feed more appealing and precise. Machine learning helps to recognise the topics you search for, and the type of photos you pin, in order to make your feed more appealing and targeted towards you.
Creativity isn’t a skill just for artists – nowadays, in our complex world, creativity is a valued skill in many industries. Businesses look for creative employees, to design and present the company in a creative, visually aesthetic way. As the world develops a better understanding and appreciation of aesthetics and design, we have to think creatively to keep up. This is why creatives, such as graphic designers, are progressively rising up in industry.
We are surrounded by brands. You can’t go a day without being enticed by a brands identity. Their logos bombard us. Whether it’s social media or TV ads, shop signs, billboards, clothing labels, etc… We are targeted on every platform. Think, when you wake up in the morning, and inevitably look at your smart phone, how long does it take until you’ve seen a brand?… Not sure?… Well, probably less than 30 seconds – you’re holding a brand! A brand in which holds a plethora of other brands, like Facebook or Google – in which holds even more brands.
As many (not all) of us, plan to empty the cupboards and give our houses/offices a good spring clean, others are transforming something a little less obvious, their branding. So we’ve got through the first few months of the year, is your branding looking ok…are you sure? It was really current and trendy when it was created…back in 2006, but we’re in 2017 and maybe now it’s starting to look a little tired and in need of a little tweak here and there. From our experience, we find that sometimes the smallest of changes can make the biggest impact. The addition of a new colour or the curve of a new font can be the update your brand’s been needing.
What with moving into our swanky new offices, launching our new website, or having a number of new colleagues join the fold, it’s been an exciting few months here at Cloud Ten. And now we’re delighted to announce that we are certified as Highly Recommended by RAR, the Recommended Agency Register.
Video continues to play a significant part in today’s marketing toolkit, even more so with this space being serviced by a growing number of digital agencies which is providing a more competitive price-point. But the concern for most businesses that have adopted this rich media is how to get their content in front of their chosen audience?
There are 1.17 billion Google users worldwide and I bet you’re one of them! I know I am. But is it taking over your life? – Don’t Google that! Everyday I find myself asking Google a number of questions, whether it be about a foreign country, the age of a celebrity. Or a simple equation that my brain doesn’t have the time or inclination to compute!
